Merry Christmas

I would like to start by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas... I think I can finally say that next year, at this time, our little girl will be here with us celebrating her first Christmas!!! I want to let our little one know that no matter where she is or who she is with we think of her all the time and can't wait for her to join our family... Merry Christmas K...

Just sharing

Today is actually Geno's B-day and I was kinda hoping by now we would be celebrating with 3 of us. Sometimes we get sad thinking about our little girl and wonder when is she going to be able to join our family and othertimes we panic thinking - OMG, Are we ready???
We are inching closer now. It's at a snail's pace, but we are moving and can finally see a light at the end of this very long tunnel. They are saying that referrels are on the way and the cut- off will be Feb. 23 2006. Almost March, yeah.... Thanks again to all of our family and friends that keep us in their thoughts... :)

another little speed bump

A little sad today. Our social worker has decided to leave our Agency. I really liked her and felt like we could talk about anything. She was someone I trusted and have bonded with over these last 2 1/2 years. Now it's like starting all over again. Building a new relationship can be hard to do. Oh well, just another little speed bunp...we can handle that. Keep your fingers crossed that we hear about referrels this week...

disappointed today

received news today that our range of 6-12 months might fall around the 12 month mark. well...this means we might have to take a selfish trip somewhere sunny this winter/spring :)

Our First Blog...

Hi everyone and welcome to our blog... better late than never. We wanted to create this so we can share where we are in the process and our latest news with everyone.

Because of the wait a lot of the paperwork has expired so we are currently in the process of updating everything. This past month our fingerprints were taken again and we had to get new physicals. Our homestudy is now up to date and it will be sent to China.

To keep us somewhat sane we follow a site that gives us updates as to what is going on in China. The referrals are now up to Febuary 17th, 2006- so we are getting closer. ( A referrel for those of you who don't know, is the picture and medical info of your child) The CCAA has been consistent with referrels, however, the wait time is still very slow. We still think we have a ways to go, maybe another 6-12 months. Please feel free to stop by and visit our blog. We will keep this updated as often as possible. Thanks for sharing in the joy with us.
