Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Wanted to start off with a Happy Chinese New Year! Next year this holiday will be more than just a phrase to us...it will be the beginning of a yearly celebration. We will celebrate this day just like any other BIG holiday- Another reason to eat drink and be merry :)

On another note the referrals for this month were a very small batch. It seems as if they only cleared through March 2nd... The good news is it's still moving forward!!!

Looking forward to the future

History is being made today and we get to be a part of it. To believe that our Country is moving forward and choosing someone because of their qualifications and character no matter color or creed is amazing. This gives me hope for our future and the future of our child. As a bi-racial woman and interracial couple adopting abroad we will show how color nor creed matters. We will walk proudly hand in hand and show off our " United Nation" family. It gives me hope that maybe even one day we can have a woman president. I feel that I won't be lying when my child asks me if she can one day be president- I can respond with yes, the "sky" is the limit for you...My parents always told me that I could be anything I wanted to be and do anything I wanted to do-,I truly believed them. I want to say thanks mom and dad- you were right, I can and will. So with this said, I'm looking so forward to the future with my child!!!

Rumors

Rumors have started... They say that matching has begun. This just means referrals may be on the way within the next couple weeks. We are hopeful that they will clear at least 4 or 5 days in this batch. Keep checking in - we will post as soon as we hear something...

This may be the best year yet!!!

Happy 2009..... Referrels went through at the very end of Dec. and yes, they cleared all of Feb. 2006.... again we are March 9th 2006 :) It's getting so close. It's hard not to get too excited, but we do have to remember that the CCAA doesn't have a set way in putting through referrels. So it could be a month or two until we hear or six months....Who cares we are so close now!!! Anyways- wishing everyone a Happy New Year and we will let you know, as soon as, we hear something...
